Wisdom from my daughter.

I really have not figured out where this amazing girl gets her wisdom. Do I dare say she gets it from her father. She just might.
This wisdom was to my benifit in the week leading up to Gavin's third birthday. I was having a hard time with the fact that we would not be with him for his big day and was a tad on the weepy side for a few days. That's when Miss Avery said to me "Mom we are going to have all of Gavin's birthdays from here on out to celebrate with him, and the foster family he has been with for two almost three years most likley knows we are coming for him now, don't you think they would probability want to have this one last birthday with him?
Boy did that stop me in my tracks and get me thinking. If I was in their shoes of course I would want to have this last birthday moment with the little boy I had bonded with. This did chage my attitude about the whole thing.
I am her mom first, but she truly is one of my best friends. I do pray with the teen years upon us (in six months) we continue to have this bond.
Thank you for the relationship we have Avery, you mean the world to me.
(Wow! this post did get sappy in a hurry~sorry about that)

Yes, that black dog WAS Amos. He was much cuter and sweeter when he was my dog... I have no idea what happened to him when we moved to Washington. I think he began eating small game in the forest....

Your relationship with your daughter is precious by the way!

That's some pretty amazing wisdom from an almost thirteen year old! Great perspective taking Avery! Oh and by the way...that picture (the one with his face not blured out) is SO cute...I thought about your family all day Sunday (even after we went to bed) I am just so excited for you all! Gavin is such a lucky little guy!

She is a darling treasure! I love my teenagers, I don't know why they get the bad rap, but I am sure if you enjoy her so much now, that will continue to blossom :)
