So sorry for the last post taking a few days, my aunt who has been posting for our blog did everything she could to try to get it up for us and then Gary discovered that when he was fiddling with his Google account from China it must have changed the password for my aunt to enter our blog account. But we are running again! We have been so very blessed while in China and to even be on this adoption journey, but there are a few things that really stick out in my mind that I had to share. The fact that ALL six of us have been healthy is beyond what this mama expected. I came to China with a drug store worth of meds. and the only thing we have used was a few tylenol (mostly for Gavin when he got all those shots) and some airborne in the beginning of the trip. We didn't even have to use the sleep aid I packed with us. Well on the bright side when we get home my bathroom cabinet will be well stocked with all new meds if someone does come down with just about anything. Also the other day when we were at the other hotel (the rest of our group is staying in another hotel just a few blocks away from ours) I was looking in my purse to see if I had gotten Gary's passport back from him and then we all headed out to the park. On our way to the park our guide was taking us into some shops where she knows the shop owners. We were looking around and Emma (our guide) came to us a little frantic saying that the hotel we were just at called her and needed to know if someone from our group had lost their wallet. I guess I had I just didn't know it yet. I ran back to the hotel and luckily had my passport with me as proof to get the wallet back, but it had both Gary and I's drivers license and both our visa cards along with some Amercian money and the keys to our luggage lock (which was locked back at our hotel with the computer in it). God is so Good to us~even when we don't know it he is taking care of things before we realize it. To lose that wallet in a foreign country would have been a mess. Gavin's sniffles have not tuned into any kind of cold and we have eaten more pizza then I care to admit, but it means the kids are doing better about the whole food thing so I'm alright with it. Gavin's visa appointment went well for our guide this morning and things are right on schedule so far. We hope all is going well at home too, and we will be headed there soon. Blessings (again) from China, Marla By the way the pictures are kind of random. The one with the kids and the baby white tiger just might end up on your Christmas card from us this year. And the one with Gavin sleeping on Gary's head~well the boy was singing twinkle twinkle little star one minute and out the next. |

So glad everything is going so well. Our God is soooo good!!
Loving the picture of all the kids and the white tiger...perfect Christmas card picture! Seems you are all having one great bonding experience there in China.
The picture of Gavin sleeping on Gary's shoulders brought tears to my eyes. Seems he was the perfect "puzzle piece" needed to complete your family. God had the perfect child waiting for you half way around the world. Looking forward to the day we all get to meet him.
Gavin is a doll! Katie saw the blog yesterday and thinks he looks like Levi! So funny! We miss you.
Sooo true! We had left our expensive camera case which held every camera and camcorder we brought in the taxi and would not have had a camera to meet Faith the next morning! Our guide was able to call the taxi driver at 1 am in the morning and he found our camera case...so blessed.
LOVE IT!
Can't wait to meet him
