Ni Hao (Hello) Everyone!
We made it to China and the whole trip getting here went so much smoother then Gary and I were expecting. We ended up having a 25 hour traveling day and the kids did INCREDIBLE! I must have done my math wrong though because I was thinking it was going to be 40 hours of travel. Hey I'll take 25 over 40. We only had one outburst during the whole 12 hr. plane ride and poor Lulu doesn't even know she was yelling due to the fact that she was asleep at the time.
We got right through Customs without a problem and then made our way to baggage claim where we found all five bags..........................
...........then turned the corner where we found the sweetest lady holding a sign with our names on it.
When we got to the hotel it was 8:00pm, found a 7/11 for bottled water then went to McyD's. Yes our first stop in China and we went to McDonald's, in Gary's words "how sad is that?"
We headed for bed around 10;15 and two of us woke up at 4;30am, but the rest of the family woke up at 6:30am so I am hopeful that we got our systems off the a good start.
Today is the Olympic Square and the Great Wall, we were told the weather should be nice. I hope to post some great pictures tonight.
Blessings
~Marla

Ha ha, laughing about the first meal. But sometimes when we ran in grab a burger it was more about time than it was about what we wanted to eat...
I hope you have a wonderful day, can't wait to read your first impressions of Beijing!

I am glad you decided to take the whole family. You had talked to me last May when we traveled with our whole family (my husband and myself with our three daughters). I am so excited to be able to follow your adoption journey. Blessings to you and your family!

You all are looking like you are having the time of your life..... Glad to hear the trip was so much easier than expected. Dad and I got back home from dropping you off at he airport and both hit the sack for a couple of hours before going to work.
All is well here. We had beautiful weather here today so I was able to get all my flower pots planted with flowers from the garden spot. Grandma M. is doing fine.
Will chat again soon. Love to all. can't wait to see a picture of my grandson):) love mom
