When you ask God to stretch you.

Here we are at the ten month mark and we are not even to the point where China knows who we are yet. We have been working on this adoption since September and the counting only really begins when our papers get to where they are going. We are still waiting (for over two months now) for one more piece of paper from Chicago in order for all our stuff to get sent off to China. I also got some disappointing news today about sharing Gavin's picture, my agency says I'm not allowed to share Gavin's picture until we are at the travel stage. That is most likely six months off-ugh! I am dying to share it with everyone and yet it's something else I need to wait for. I did come across this verse this past week that assured me this is all in much better hands then my own. Psalms 33:11 But the plans of the Lord stand firm forever, the purposes of his heart through all generations. This does help for the end result, but this mama is getting weary of the wait and there is so much more of it to come. Until we hear more we are just hanging out doing summer stuff as a family. ---Marla

I love the new blog look, very cute !
Hang in there - You know, I feel like I was so focused on how LONG it took to do the paperwork. So, now that I am done paper-chasing - I am suddenly aware that after I receive a referral ( which we have not) I will still have to wait 3-6 months to travel. A lot of waiting, but so, so worth it. BTW, can't wait to see his picture ! I'll be waiting...

Well now that I have seen his picture at church I feel a bit more satisfied :) He is beautiful! I think and pray for you all daily and I am so excited to see the ENTIRE family in church!

Marla,

Thanks so much for your kind comment!

I was looking over your blog and I have to say CONGRATULATIONS to you on being matched with your son!! I know the paperwork process can be filled with bumps and may take longer than you'd like, but one thing that kept (keeps) me going, was knowing He will get you to your sweet Gavin in just the right time for everyone involved:-).

Even delays have their purpose.

It must be hard to not post pictures...the anticipation for us will make it that much sweeter when we do get a glimpse!

You have a beautiful family...God Speed to your son!
