The hearts of kids.

About three months ago our childrens sunday school department at church asked us if they could be a part of our trip to China in some way.
They invited us to come and share our story about how it came to be that we were headed to China for our son, so we went.
They asked if they could raise money for our trip, so they did.
They want us to take the money and go shopping in China and present the orphanage director with the gifts we are going to buy, so we will.
Gary and I are so amazed by these 1st-6th grader kids wanting to be a part of Gavin's story and the fact that our three kids will get to be the hands and feet of delivering what their friends raised for this orphanage.
They had us back this morning to give us what they had raised and in three months time these kids raised $155.24~Praise God for the hearts of kids!!!
After they gave us what they had raised, all 38 of them layed hands on us and prayed for our family. Talk about getting this mama to cry. We already feel so blessed to be a part of our church family, but to have the children of our church lift us up in prayer is something I will never forget.
To all the kids of J.A.M. sunday school, we are thankful for each one of you.
Blessings,
~Marla

Wow! That will go so far in China! I wonder if you could find out what they need at the orphanage and use it that way? What a blessing!

Do you have travel dates yet?

The girls were so excited this morning! They told us all about the events when we got home. They have taken a huge interest in Gavin and your family and can't wait to hear about your time in China. I reminded them that it might be several weeks after you get home before you are able to share with the J.A.M. kids about your trip and tried to explain why. Thanks for allowing our kids to be a part of what your family is doing.

Wow, that is awesome! I got goosebumps reading it, I'm sure I would have been bawling if I had been there in person. I'm telling you, it's gonna be the next generation that redeems this world...

So sorry about Sunday evening - these CG leaders kinda dropped the ball. Wish we could've come up to JAM with you guys, that would've been fun! The countdown is on and I am ready to be "on duty"! :-)

Marla, that is SO precious! I love how tender those kids hearts are, and to watch you on your journey and see what their hard-raised money will buy for the kids is priceless... I know God is going to move big time in their hearts! What a special gift to have all of them lay hands on you and pray... totally PRICELESS! LOVE it!!!

Praying for a great trip and blessed travels. Who knows, just 'maybe' we'll cross paths as you're leaving GZ and we're coming in. Yah never know!! ;)

Now go on and get that sweet boy of yours... I can't wait to see him in your arms!!

God bless! <><

love,
Tanya
