Let the count down begin!

We will meet our son one month from TODAY!!
Monday May 10th

Also I am American and
I am a Mother. (Can you hear the patriotic music playing?)
When I am loving on my son for the first time in China, in America mom's will be celabrating Mother's Day
So.... I am getting my boy (to a degree, work with me here) on Mother's Day.

This working on American time while in China is working for me on other things too. While we are gone Gary and I will be celebrating our 15th Wedding Anniversary, only the day of it we will be somewhere over the Pacific ocean. Not really what I had in mind. Since we got married in America why not celebrate in American time which now puts us on the Great Wall for our anniversary. That sounds so much better!

May has always been a crazy month for us with Mother's Day, Our Wedding Anniversary, and many Birthdays in it and I am so excited that now we will forever have Gavin's Gotcha Day to celebrate in there too.

Let the count down to May 10th begin...only 29 days to go!!!

I'm so happy you finally have dates:-). I remember for me how 'real' it made everything feel.

Enjoy pulling together your final preparations...soon you'll be OFF!

Wow - that's gonna go fast! I noticed you didn't outright mention your birthday on May 25th - can't skip it - you have to get older like the rest of us! Counting down my days until blog duty!!!

Congrats on your upcoming travel! On may 11 of last year, we met our 2.5 year old son. I don't know if you remember or not, but you and I have communicated briefly. I wish you and your husband "Safe Travels!"
